저희는 먼저 성공해야 제대로 만들 수 있다고 믿습니다. 레이서가 완벽한 예입니다. 처음엔 전혀 다른 의자였습니다. 종이 위에 그려진 멋진 모습에서 영감을 받아 프로토타입을 만들었는데, 너무 야외용 의자처럼 느껴진다는 사실을 금방 깨달았습니다. 디자이너들은 첫 번째 스케치를 다시 살펴보고 부드러운 곡선을 두 개의 겹쳐진 구부러진 합판 껍질로 재해석했습니다. 이를 통해 보다 반응성이 뛰어난 의자와 거의 공중에 떠 있는 듯한 아름다운 형태를 만들 수 있었습니다. 그런 다음 폼과 패브릭으로 덮어 여러 겹의 편안함을 만들었습니다. 색상이 조화된 파우더 코팅 강철 베이스는 거의 파손되지 않도록 만들었으며, 영리한 채널 스티치 디테일은 모든 군중과 행사에 어울리는 스마트한 옷을 입혔습니다.

We believe you have to make it before you can make it right. Racer is a perfect example. It was a much different chair at the start. Inspired by its pleasing profile on paper, we prototyped what we quickly realized felt too much like an outdoor chair. Our designers revisited that first sketch and reinterpreted its gentle curves as two overlapping bent plywood shells. This allowed for a more responsive seat and beautiful, almost floating forms. We then covered it in foam and fabric, creating layers of comfort. A color-coordinated powder-coated steel base made it virtually indestructible, while clever channel stitch detail kept it smartly dressed for all crowds and occasions.
